The origin of the olive tree

Palestine is the place of origin of the olive tree with some of the oldest olive groves in the world, some dating as far back as 1500 to 2000 years.

I absolutely LOVE Olives. I remember when i lived in Saudi, I used to live on them. Its a shame that we couldnt find Olives in abundance here … without their prices touching the sky …

The olive and the olive tree is also mentioned in the Quran in the surah in the last para.
It takes twelve years for an olive tree to give fruit.
An olive branch is a symbol of peace. its too bad the bulldozers have no brains, nor do the drivers understand the significance of the tree.
May Allah protect the olive trees and the growers.
