Hi, it’s actually the translation of a verse from the Quran (“Qawlum-ma’roofun-wa-maghfiratun khairum min sadaqatin yat-ba’uha atha..”). Honestly can’t remember which sura or verse number but it’s part of a group of verses emphasizing charity – I’ll check up and leave another comment later, inshaAllah.
Chapter 1. Verse 263. (Sura Baqarah)
“Kind words and the covering of faults are better than charity followed by injury. God is Free of all wants, and He is most Forbearing”. Translation by A. Yusuf Ali.
The passage dealing with charity comprises verses 261 – 274.
