Firstly, I would like to express my thanks and great appreciation to all the readers who support Dont be sad by their visits, comments and joining the Dont be sad network (recently updated- please do interact). As many of you are aware I will be away from Dont be sad until mid-February. This is an interlude, if you will.
Recently it came to my attention Dont be sad has been tagged by Karma Web. Being new to the blogosphere, its actually the first time- usually Dont be sad would pass. However, since this relates to reading and books I’d like to oblige. Besides, it can nicely be combined with a short note to you all, the readers.
1. Pick up the nearest book (of at least 123 pages)
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the next three sentences.
5. Tag five people.
The nearest book to be found is Don’t be sad by ‘Aaidh ibn Adbullah al-Qarni. Page 123 falls under the section “Do not be sad- Do good to others”:
“Ibn Mubarak’s neighbour was a Jew. He would always feed him before feeding his own children and would provide clothing for him first then for his children. Some people said to the Jew, “Sell us your house.” Click to find out what he said…
